Create a schedule purpose
Decide whether the output is for an early estimate, design review, or a supplier order. The required level of precision differs, and a planning dimension should not be mistaken for a final manufacturer specification.
Check each cabinet against the plan
Compare cabinet width, depth, height, location, and door or drawer direction with the associated wall elevation. Identify missing fillers, end panels, corner solutions, and transitions that can be overlooked in a 3D view.
Coordinate appliances and fixtures
Confirm the selected appliance cutouts and opening clearances using current manufacturer information. Verify sinks, plumbing, ventilation, electrical locations, and door swings as separate checks.
Watch finish and hardware assumptions
Separate design-visible material names from order-ready finish codes and hardware selections. If supplier details are not finalized, mark them as pending instead of filling the schedule with guesses.
Complete a supplier-ready review
Issue the relevant plan, elevations, schedules, and revision date together. Have the fabricator or supplier confirm field measurements and construction constraints before manufacturing.
Practical final checklist
- Save a dated backup or review copy before changing an active project.
- Check information against the relevant current software documentation and local project requirements.
- Test changes on a representative file, then inspect the resulting drawings and exports.
- Record unresolved questions and obtain qualified professional review when the deliverable requires it.
